It started with a wedding and a toddler who refused to get dressed.
In 2023, during a trip to India for my brother’s wedding, I bought beautiful Indian outfits for my toddler—full of embroidery, mirrors, and sequins. They looked stunning, but every time it was time to get dressed, it became a battle.
She cried. She resisted. She wanted to wear her t-shirt and shorts instead.
That moment made me realize something simple: we often choose clothes for how they look on kids, but kids care about how they feel in them.
And honestly, children look their happiest when they are comfortable.
That realization became the beginning of Desi Trove.
